TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is investigating the Sunday afternoon shooting death of a 17-month-old child.  According to the agency, the incident happened around 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Clipper Bay Apartments, 6727 S. Lois Ave.  Police say the investigation is in its preliminary stages, but officers have released the cause of death as a gunshot wound.
