The Top Misspelled Word In Florida Is…
Google put together a listing of what word each state struggles with the most. Florida's word may surprise you.
TAMPA, FL — What word do Floridians struggle the most to spell more than any other word? Thanks to the folks at Google, we now know the answer.
Florida’s most misspelled word is: receipt.
Why is that? Google didn’t have an answer to that question. No other state struggled with the word “receipt.” Nearby Georgia found “gray” the most difficult word to spell, while folks in Alabama have trouble with “pneumonia.”

The word “beautiful” poses issues for New Yorkers and residents of California, Kentucky, Minnesota and Ohio. “Europe” may be too far away for the folks in Vermont to connect with, and “difficult” seems to be too difficult for Google users in New Hampshire to muster.
Interestingly, there were two states – West Virginia and Connecticut – that found "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," the fake word from Mary Poppins, the most difficult to spell.
