U2 Joshua Tree Tour 2017 Tampa Stop: Parking, Ticket Info

The venerable rock band, along with One Republic, will perform at Raymond James Stadium this month.

TAMPA, FL – Thirty years ago, U2’s The Joshua Tree album and tour launched the Irish rock band to super-stardom. This summer, the band is looking to bring back the magic to stadiums across the United States.

While the venue may be different, U2’s The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 will feature a tour stop in Tampa just like the original did in 1987.

Date and Time

The Tampa stop in the U2 The Joshua Tree Tour 2017, with special guests One Republic, is scheduled to take place Wednesday, July 14 at 7 p.m.

Location

The concert will take place at Raymond James Stadium, 4201 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa. Gates are set to open at 5 p.m.

Parking

Raymond James Stadium parking lots will open at the following times:

  • 8 a.m. – Lots A and 3D open
  • Noon – Lot 6D opens
  • 3 p.m. – All lots open

Ride Sharing

For ride-sharing options such as Uber and Lyft, the drop-off area is located at the Mass Transit Drop-off off Dale Mabry Highway at the pedestrian bridge. The pick-up area is located at Steinbrenner Field, across Dale Mabry Highway.

Tickets

Currently, tickets in the 300 level are still available for the Tampa tour stop. These tickets are $100 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com. Verified resale tickets are also available at certified secondary market sites.

The ticket office and will call will open at noon the day of the event.

All attendees 2 years of age or older will require a ticket for admission. Children younger than 2 who sits on an adult’s lap do not require a ticket. According to the ticket policy, there will be no re-entry after admittance.

General Admission Floor Seat Tickets

Attendees with general admission floor seat tickets must enter through Gate A and bring the credit card used to purchase their tickets and a valid government-issued photo ID to the stadium. These ticket holders can begin lining up for entrance to the floor at 8 a.m. Access to the floor will not be permitted until 5 p.m. or at Raymond James Stadium’s discretion.

Credit Card / Paperless Entry

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster have the option of being set for credit card entry admittance only. The instructions for credit card entry are:

  1. Buy tickets using a credit card online or by phone
  2. Bring the credit card used to purchase the tickets and a valid government-issued photo ID
  3. Go directly to the door with your entire group, present your ID and swipe your credit card for entry

Clear bag policy / prohibited items

The following bags will be allowed into the stadium during the concert:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVS and do not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches.
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziplog bag or similar)
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with our without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags

All bags are subject to search upon entry and are subject to additional searches within the stadium. Items not permitted into the stadium must be returned to the patron’s vehicle. There are no outside lockers at the stadium, nor can items be held by stadium personnel. All items left unattended outside the gates will be thrown away. Approved bags must be carried when approaching the queue lines prior to entry to the stadium.

Prohibited bags include coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage, seat cushions, computer bags and camera bags.
