Undefeated Tampa Bay Sun Face Brooklyn Tonight At Riverfront Stadium

The team will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month throughout the game with fans and tickets remain available.

TAMPA, FL - The undefeated Tampa Bay Sun FC (1-0-2) will face-off tonight against Brooklyn FC (0-0-1) at 7 p.m. at Riverfront Stadium located at Blake High School at 1701 North Boulevard in Tampa. The Sun secured their first win (3-2) against Lexington SC last weekend.

The team will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which happens from Sept. 15-Oct. 15, through in-game recognitions and a rally towel giveaway during Saturday’s match.

Saturday’s match between Tampa Bay Sun and Brooklyn will feature familiar faces on both sides of the pitch for Head Coach Denise. Brooklyn goalkeeper Sydney Martinez and Tampa’s Viv Bessette and Sydny Nasello all played for the USF Bulls from 2020-2021, led by current Tampa head coach Denise Schilte-Brown who was at the helm of the university’s team for 17 seasons.

Defender Talia Staude, on loan from NWSL’s NC Courage, made her first start and scored the first goal in the team’s last match against Lexington SC on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024.
