Here are the top five stories in Tampa today:

1. Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, a sports bar and restaurant concept co-owned by former New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees, will open as part of Midtown Tampa this month. The concept started in 2003 and was named the best sports bar in America by TV sports giant ESPN back in 2012. (That's So Tampa)

2. Most of the Tampa Bay area has high community transmission levels of COVID-19 as of last week, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The state of Florida currently has a COVID positivity rate of 20 to 24.9%, according to the CDC. (WFLA)

3. Second District Court of Appeals Judge Darryl Casanueva has ruled to continue hearing a class action lawsuit filed by a University of South Florida student against the school for failing to offer partial tuition refunds for students after canceling in-person classes due to COVID-19. 4. A 25-year-old Tampa man, Devontae Demetrius Hunter, could spend a maximum of 10 years in federal prison for being a convicted felon in possession of a gun after he posed with a Glock pistol in a video he uploaded to his Instagram account on September 11. (Tampa Patch)

5. Hillsborough County Commissioner Harry Cohen has announced an endorsement from the Hillsborough County Firefighters union, IAFF Local 2294, supporting his District 1 re-election. The union is made up of more than 1,000 members who advocate for improved public and firefighter safety. (Florida Politics)
