USF vs. Tulane Football: Everything You Need To Know

TAMPA, FL – After charging up the rankings yet again, USF will look to charge into New Orleans this week in hopes to keep its postseason aspirations alive.

Coming of a 33-3 defensive gem against Cincinnati in front of a large homecoming crowd, the undefeated Bulls will stay in the American when they face off against Tulane this weekend. Tulane enters the game after a surprising 23-10 loss to Florida International. However, the Green Wave took down Tulsa 62-28 the week before.

  • The Bulls tied their record for the best start to a season in school history
  • The Bulls extended their nation-leading FBS winning streak to 11 games
  • The Bulls tied the record for most consecutive games scoring 30 points or more (Oregon 2011-12)
  • Quinton Flowers extended his all-time state-leading quarterback rushing yards, passing 3,000 yards (twice) during the game

Point Spread: As of Tuesday afternoon, USF is favored between 11 and 12.5 points over Tulane in the books listed on OddsShark.com

Rankings: USF moved up two spots in the AP Top 25 Poll into a tie at No. 16 with N.C. State. USF also moved up two spots in the Amway Coaches Poll to No. 13. Tulane is not ranked in either poll.

Records: USF improved to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in the AAC. Tulane comes in with a 3-3 record and a 1-1 record in the AAC.

Tailgating: General public tailgating is allowed in designated areas on the Lavin Bernick Student Center for Student Life Quad in Tailgate Village. Spaces are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Fans will be able to drop off tailgating gear starting eight hours prior to kickoff up until five hours prior using designated roads. Fans will be allowed 15 minutes in the loading zones on Drill Road to unload their attended vehicle and will be required to park their vehicle. Access to the loading zone is via Newcomb Place off Willow Street. Campus will reopen post-game when police release traffic control for fans to collect any related items. Trailers are not allowed in the loading zone area.

Prohibited Items: The following items are prohibited in Yulman Stadium:

  • Alcohol purchased outside the stadium
  • Artificial noise makers except for Thunder sticks
  • Backpacks, book bags, knapsacks (diaper bags may be brought in if accompanied by an infant
  • Banners that are large or in poor taste
  • Containers of any kind, Thermos bottles, bottles and cans
  • Coolers
  • Fireworks
  • Flammables
  • Footballs or throwing objects
  • Glass
  • Large bags (maximum size is 12 inches by 12 inches)
  • Laser pointers
  • Outside food and beverage
  • Projectiles
  • Stadium seatback chairs with aluminum or metal
  • Stickers
  • Sticks, bats, poles, clubs, flags or banners with poles
  • Strollers (umbrellas strollers can collapse and be placed under seats are permitted
  • Video cameras
  • Weapons, even with concealed weapons permit
  • Umbrellas
  • Unmanned Aircraft Systems
  • Any other item or items deemed unacceptable by stadium management and Tulane University
