Video: 40 Firearms Stolen in Tampa Smash-And-Grab

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say between 10 to 15 people were involved in the Tuesday morning burglary.

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a brazen Tuesday morning smash-and-grab burglary that resulted in the theft of an estimated 40 firearms.

According to the agency, a SUV drove into the front glass window at the Tampa Arms Company, 4023 W. Waters Ave., around 2:48 a.m. on Nov. 29. Once the business was accessible, a large group of people poured into the store and took an estimated 40 firearms.

Deputies say between 10 to 15 people were involved in the burglary. Surveillance video shows those involved were wearing hoodies and hats throughout the burglary.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200. People who wish to be eligible for a cash reward may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS to provide information.
