  1. A Tampa woman has been sentenced by a judge to eight years and four months in federal prison for a long list of crimes, including bank fraud, tax fraud, credit card fraud and aggravated identity theft. The woman allegedly used stolen identities to obtain four tax refunds from the IRS as well as credit cards and other goods. (Tampa Patch)
  2. Three men have been arrested by police in connection to a deadly Tampa shooting that occurred in January 2023, according to authorities. Detectives said they used witness statements, vehicle GPS data, as well as cell location data and video surveillance to determine the suspects were involved. (Fox 13)
  3. Water Street Tampa is hosting an Earth Day Market this weekend on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests can enjoy a recycled art display in Raybon Plaza with local art made with recycled materials. The event is being held in partnership with Tampa Bay Markets. (That's So Tampa)
  4. Tampa popular brunch pop-up Loko Cuisine will host its 10th anniversary of Eggs & Kegs brunch this weekend. The pop-up will be held at 7venth Sun Brewery in Seminole Heights, which is located at 6809 N Nebraska Ave. Tickets are now available. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
  5. Crystal River City Manager Ken Frink is resigning Aug. 2 to avoid a conflict of interest in working with a spouse. He blamed "personal life decisions" in his resignation letter. Frink allegedly resigned to avoid a special election against Councilwoman Cindi Guy. City leaders applauded Frink for his years of service to the community despite the abrupt resignation.
