Weekend Weather: Tampa Bay's Mild, Sunny Streak May Not Last Much Longer
Forecasters anticipate a mild weekend ahead for the Tampa Bay area, but the rain-free streak may come to an end next week.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents who’ve been enjoying the mild, rain-free days of the past few weeks may want to get out and enjoy the sunshine while they can. While forecasters expect the weekend ahead to continue the recent dry streak, the same cannot be said for the workweek ahead.
According to the National Weather Service, Veterans Day Friday should kick off the weekend rather nicely. A high in the upper-70s is expected in the afternoon hours with sunny skies on tap. The evening hours could get a little chilly in parts of the Tampa Bay area and surrounding counties. The overnight low is expected to drop into the upper 50s.
Saturday is anticipated to bring more sunny conditions with a high around 80 degrees in much of the area. Mostly clear skies and a low in the upper 50s are forecast.

Sunday is expected to shape up as a near repeat of Saturday with mostly sunny skies and a high around 80 degrees in the cards. While rain isn’t a strong possibility, forecasters at The Weather Channel say there’s about a 10 percent chance a few drops may fall. Mostly cloudy conditions are anticipated in the overnight hours Sunday with a warmer low in the mid-60s.
Monday is the day folks throughout the region may want to have an umbrella in tow. Forecasters at the weather service anticipate about a 30 percent chance of storms with a daytime high in the upper 70s. Rain chances persist into the evening hours Monday when a low in the low 60s is expected.

Rain is also a strong possibility on Tuesday, but another dry streak may kick off on Wednesday.
No severe weather is in the forecast for the weekend or the workweek ahead.
