- A Tampa area youth pastor and foster parent are being accused by police of sex trafficking minors, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO). The two suspects are accused of multiple crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call HCSO at 813-247-8200. (Fox 13 Tampa)
- Ybor City's Gas Worx development project will hold an official groundbreaking on March 6. The 50-acre project will forever change the look of one of the most historic cities in the Tampa area. The new development will eventually have 5,000 residences, over 500,000-square-feet of office space, and nearly 140,000-square-feet of new retail. (That's So Tampa)
- Adventure Island Water Park is opening Shaka-Laka Shores, which is a new splash and play zone for kids to enjoy that will feature interactive water activities. Adventure Island will open March 4 with the new zone planned for the end of March. (WFLA)
- Riverview martial arts instructor Daniel Medina-Alvarez, of the now shuttered Medina Martial Arts Studio, is accused of "inappropriately touching" his students, according to HCSO. Medina-Alvarez was arrested by authorities at his Riverview home on Feb. 14. (WTSP)
