Youth Council To Host Session On Addiction
The Mayor's Youth Leadership Council will host experts for a discussion on teen addiction and the opioid epidemic.

TAMPA, FL – Opioid use and abuse has made headlines in the past few weeks, with President Donald Trump announcing his intentions of dealing with a nationwide opioid overdose epidemic.
The Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council in Tampa is looking to start a conversation by hosting community experts for a free educational session on addiction. The event is set to take place on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the David M. Barksdale Center in Macfarlane Park, 1801 N. Lincoln Ave.
The three panelists – Dr. Antoinette Hagley, Barbara Tripp and Doug Morgan, are slated to discuss the opioid epidemic, teen addiction and treatment options. The panelists will take questions from the audience during the discussion.
