1 Killed In Sunday Night St. Pete Crash: Police
A pedestrian was fatally hit by a car over the weekend on a 34th Street South block.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A car hit and killed a pedestrian crossing on 34th Street South Sunday night, a St. Pete police news release said.
Police said at 9:10 p.m., a black 2018 Chrysler Pacifica drove southbound in the 4600 block of 34th Street South. The pedestrian walked into the southbound curb lane at the same time as the Chrysler got there and was hit.
The male pedestrian was taken to Bayfront Health where medical staff pronounced him dead, police said.

According to police, the driver stayed at the crash location and spoke with officers.
All lanes on 34th were closed during the investigation.

The victim's name will not be released until next of kin is notified, police said.
