2 Boys Hospitalized After Bicycle, Vehicle Collide in St. Pete
Breaking: Two young boys were hospitalized with serious injuries after a Monday afternoon collision on 54th Avenue North.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that sent two young boys from St. Petersburg to All Children’s Hospital Monday afternoon with serious injuries.
According to the agency, Courtney Anne Houser, 25, was heading east in the inside lane of 54th Avenue North. As Houser’s vehicle approached 65th Way North around 4:45 p.m. Oct. 3, a bicycle crossed 54th Avenue North with a passenger on its handlebars.
Traffic at the time, a highway patrol report noted, was stopped. Houser was unable to see the bicycle as it traveled in between traffic. Her vehicle struck the bicycle as it entered her path, throwing the two boys to the ground, the report said.
