3 Supply Centers Open In St. Pete: Hurricane Irma Recovery

St. Petersburg has opened three supply and food centers for residents in need and those wishing to help them.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg residents in need of food and supplies as they recover from Hurricane Irma’s devastation will find three locations open to serve them on Thursday.

The city announced that the Rev. Kenny Irby, St. Petersburg’s community intervention director, has coordinated three sites. People with supplies that may help others are invited to drop them off at the locations. People in need of emergency supplies and non-perishable food may also pick up items from the locations. The following locations will be open until noon on Sept. 14:

  • 955 20th St. South

Christ Gospel Church

The following location will be open until 3 p.m. on Sept. 14:

Greater Mt. Zion AME

  • 1045 16th St. S.

The city hasn’t announced if the locations will reopen on Friday.
