Body Of St. Pete Teen Still Missing After Search In AL Field: Report

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The body of a St. Petersburg teenager whose adult boyfriend is accused by police of killing her in 2012 because she was 17 and pregnant with his child remains missing after detectives spent days digging for her body in Alabama, WFLA reported.

The boyfriend, Jacobee Flowers, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on March 31. At about the same time, St. Pete Police detectives got a lead that the victim, Morgan Martin's body, was buried in Pike County, Ala., on a cotton farm.

Flowers was 24 at the time of Martin's accused killing.

Detectives returned from Alabama Saturday, and were unable to find the body, the TV outlet said.

Flowers' sentencing hearing is scheduled April 28.
