Man Crossing Gandy Blvd. Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash: FL Troopers
A St. Pete man was arrested in a hit-and-run crash that killed a man crossing Gandy Boulevard, Florida Highway Patrol said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A hit-and-run driver was arrested in a crash that killed a 66-year-old St. Petersburg man crossing Gandy Boulevard on Wednesday afternoo, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A Ford Crown Victoria, driven by John Guy Delucchi, 58, of St. Petersburg was heading west on the highway around 5 p.m. when the pedestrian stepped into his path.
The victim was brought to a nearby hospital and later died from his injuries.

Delucchi left the crash scene near 10387 Gandy Blvd. and was later found in Plant City, FHP said.
He was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death.
