Botched Liposuction Lands 2 Behind Bars: Sheriff

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has announced two arrests following a lengthy investigation into alleged illegal activity at the Orozco Medical Clinic in Tampa. Deputies say two people on staff performed – and botched – liposuction procedures. Complicating matters, authorities say neither are licensed medical doctors.

When they did, Sarasota rose to the top in site’s analysis of the best places to retire in the Sunshine State. A few other communities in the region were also named among the best of the best.

Sunshine: Will It Last In The Tampa Bay Area?

Tampa Bay area residents and visitors who enjoyed the break from the heat Tropical Storm Emily delivered on Monday may be just a little sorry to see her go. Forecasters at the National Weather Service are predicting the next few days will bring a return of more normalized conditions. That means soaring highs and more-or-less predictable afternoon storms can be expected, but so can somewhat regular doses of sunshine.
