1 Pedestrian Killed, 1 Critically Injured Over The Weekend In St. Petersburg

A man and woman were hit by a car Saturday night in Pinellas County on 62nd Avenue North when a driver did not see them crossing a street.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A car hit and killed one pedestrian Saturday night, and seriously injured another person in the 900 block of 62nd Avenue North, according to a St. Pete Police news release.

Sean Lee Lewis, 52, was pronounced dead by emergency officials, and the other victim, 51-year-old Michelle Ann Lewis experienced serious injuries, officers said.

The driver did not see the two pedestrians, both of St. Petersburg, as they crossed, and hit them in the south curb lane, police said.

According to officers, Michelle was last reported in stable condition at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
