ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A construction worker suffered critical injuries after he fell off a scaffold at a St. Petersburg house Monday morning, multiple outlets reported.
The worker fell at 9 a.m. at a construction site in the 3300 block of Bayshore Boulevard in the Shore Acres area, WTVT said.
St. Pete police and Occupational Safety Health Administration are investigating what caused the fall, the TV station reported.

An ambulance took the worker to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert, WFLA said.
The victim—whose name police have not released—was last listed in critical condition by medical staff, according to the TV outlet.
