Cop Killer's Dad Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

The father of Nicholas Lindsey Jr. gets a five-year prison sentence for possessing and selling illegal drugs.

The father of Nicholas Lindsey Jr. – convicted in the fatal shooting of St. Pete Police Officer David Crawford – has pleaded guilty to drug charges.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that 44-year-old Nicholas Lindsey Sr. was sentenced to five years in prison Monday. Charges included selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church.

The younger Lindsey is serving a life sentence for the Feb. 21, 2011, shooting death of Crawford. Lindsey Jr. was 16 when he shooting occurred.
