Cops Want to Put Hammer Down on Tool Thief
The St. Petersburg Police Department is looking for help identifying a man accused of swiping more than $600 in tools.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A man with a need for tools is accused of taking a five-finger discount recently. Now, St. Petersburg Police are turning to the public for help identifying their suspect.
According to the agency, the man went into the Sears at Tyrone Square around 4:45 p.m. Sept. 2 and helped himself to more than $600 in tools. After grabbing the goods, police say he fled to an older model white Ford truck and got into its passenger side.
Getting a license plate number on the truck wasn’t quite possible, police say. It seems the tag was covered up.
