Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash Sought In St. Pete: Watch

Officers want to speak with a driver seen on surveillance video near the site of a fatal hit-and-run crash, St. Pete police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Investigators are asking for public assistance in identifying the driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Dartmoor Street North that left a 61-year-old woman dead Friday night, St. Petersburg police said in a news release.

They hope to identify and speak with the driver of a car seen on surveillance video near the scene of the crash. Watch the video footage below.

Victoria Morley was walking west to east across Dartmoor at Joyce Terrace North when an unknown vehicle hit her and left the scene, police said.

A passing driver saw her body and called 911 around 11:30 p.m.. She later died from her injuries.

Anyone with information about the driver or the crash is asked to contact St. Pete police at 727-893-7780 or by texting “SPPD” plus the tip to TIP411.
