Elderly Man Beaten with Walker Outside St. Pete Walmart (Video)
Breaking: St. Petersburg Police are looking for the person responsible for beating a man with his own walker last Friday.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police are asking for help locating a man its officers say beat an elderly man with his own walker outside a Walmart store last Friday.
According to the agency, a 66-year-old man was walking toward the front of the 201 34th St. N. Walmart around 1 p.m. on Sept. 2. As the man moved along using his walker, he was approached by a younger man who asked for the time, an email from the agency said.
“The younger man then put the elderly man in a choke hold, threw the elderly man to the ground and began punching him,” the email said. “The younger man also used the elderly man's walker to proceed to beat the elderly man.”

After getting the victim’s wallet, cash and other personal items, police say the attacker ran to a blue Dodge Durango and drove off. A witness later told police the license plate may have started with the letters GKA.
The robber is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s. He stands an estimated 6-foot-2 and weighs about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing.

Surveillance video captured the Dodge Durango leaving the parking lot after the attack, police said.
