Motorcyclist Killed On Tyrone Blvd: Police
A fatal crash occurred Monday afternoon that closed northbound lanes of Tyrone Boulevard for several hours as detectives investigated.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A truck and a motorcycle crashed into each other Monday on Tyrone Boulevard killing the motorcyclist, St. Pete police said.
The truck pulled a trailer as it drove south on Tyrone Boulevard, and the motorcyclist drove north on Tyrone Boulevard. The truck turned in front of the motorcyclist at about 2:28 p.m. when the crash occurred near Winchester Road North, detectives said.
Medical officials pronounced the motorcyclist, a male, dead at the crash, police said.

According to officers, the truck driver stopped and cooperated with investigators.

Tyrone Boulevard northbound lanes are closed from 13th Avenue North to Winchester Road North at 3:15 p.m., Monday, because of a fatality crash in St. Petersburg, according to a St. Pete police tweet.
Police ask that drivers find alternate routes as they investigate the wreck.
