Officers Investigate A Second Separate Shooting Tuesday Night At South St. Pete Bar

St. Petersburg police have begun investigating an argument that escalated to shots being fired into a crowd by a male shooter Tuesday night.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A shooting resulted from a fight that occurred at a St. Petersburg bar, Rush Hour Chicken & Waffles, Tuesday night, and injured one person, police said.

No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning, officers said.

The victim, a male, is in critical but stable condition, according to a St. Pete police news release.

This was a second shooting that took place Tuesday night. The first one, separate from this incident, happened in an alley near 40th Street South where two teenage boys were shot before 9 p.m.

Just before the second shooting happened, a fight broke out inside the Rush Hour Chicken & Waffles, 2140 34th St. S., St. Petersburg, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Yolanda Fernandez, St. Pete police information officer, said.

Witnesses at the bar told authorities when the fight had been pushed outside into the parking lot, a man with a gun shot into the crowd, and one person was injured by bullets, according to investigators.

St. Pete police do not have any suspects at the time of this article published, but detectives are speaking to witnesses.
