FLORIDA — Whether you’re seeking revenge on an ex or looking for a different kind of date night, there’s no shortage of unique Valentine’s Day events and initiatives in Florida. Patch has rounded up a sampling:

Frolics of Florida

Tallahassee Museum is hosting a “naughty night prowl” Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. In Frolics of Florida, an adults-only event, guests will learn about the different mating behaviors of the museum’s animals.

Following a cocktail hour of light hors d’oeuvres, staff will give an animal encounter focusing on courtship and reproduction. After this, enjoy an entertaining night walk down the Florida Wildlife Trail while discussing the wild side of the native animals.

Friends of Strays Fix Your Ex Fundraiser

Those seeking “petty revenge” on an ex can also raise some money for St. Petersburg’s Friends of Strays, the animal shelter wrote in a Facebook post.

In the Fix Your Ex fundraiser, people can donate $25 or more to the organization and it will name a community cat after their ex as it goes through its Pinellas Cats Alive! Program to be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their outdoor community.

Ink Twice

The dating app Tinder has partnered with Inked Miami and other tattoo shops across the U.S. on the launch of Ink Twice this Valentine’s Day season.

The new campaign offers inked singles a fresh start by covering up tattoos inspired by previous relationships. Singles 18 and older can apply for a free tattoo cover-up here through Friday.

Valentwe’en Gothic Art Show

Stop by Art Lofts in St. Petersburg, where this year’sValentwe’en gothic art show, celebrating the works of Edgar Allan Poe, is on display through Feb. 29. About 30 artists from throughout the Tampa Bay region are included in the show, which celebrates this mashup of Valentine’s Day and Halloween.

Artist Brandy Stark, who organized the show, has also organized a second gothic-themed art show Saturday night at Smokin’ 19.

Valentine’s Day Heartbreak Ball

OZ Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Nightclub in Clearwater hosts a Valentine’s Day Heartbreak Ball Wednesday from noon to 3 a.m.

Wear all black for half off the door cover. There will also be $7 (Expletive) Cupid shots for sale.

Smoke and Paint

Up in Smoke, a smoke shop in Cape Coral, hosts a Smoke and Paint event Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Couples will paint a pair of lovebirds in front of a marijuana leaf. There will also be vendors and Valentine’s Day mystery grab bags for sale.

Boo My Valentine Dinner & Ghost Adventure

Ghost Party hosts a Boo My Valentine dinner and ghost adventure Wednesday, 6 to 10 p.m., in Ybor City.

Enjoy dinner in a haunted restaurant exclusive to the Ghost Party paranormal team. Following dinner, there will be a VIP ghost hunters tour.
