Floridians Head To These 3 Spots To Get Their 'Fall Fix': Survey

A recent survey asked just over 3,000 respondents where residents of their state prefer to get their true "fall fix." Here's what FL said.

Autumn is in full swing in Florida, and whether it's a hayride, a leaf-peeping trip or strolling through a pumpkin patch, residents all have a favorite way — and a favorite place — to get their fall fix.

A recent survey conducted by Gunther Volkswagen in Delray Beach asked just over 3,000 respondents where residents of their state prefer to get their true “fall fix.”

"Pumpkin spice isn’t just a flavor - it’s shorthand for all the cozy, seasonal stops that make an autumn drive feel complete," the survey authors wrote. "From coffee shops to cideries, bakeries to roadside cafés, the question is: when cravings hit, do Florida locals stick with familiar national chains or seek out local gems along the way?"

It turns out Floridians like to keep it local, according to the survey.

The No. 1 place Floridians go to get their fall fix is Robert Is Here in Homestead, a family-owned market featuring local and exotic fruits, veggies and groceries, and a milkshake counter.

"Robert Is Here is more than a market — it’s an experience," the survey authors wrote. "The stands brim with colorful produce, the air carries a mix of sweetness and spice, and fall flavors sneak into the mix alongside tropical fruit. It’s a spot where locals and travelers alike wander slowly, tasting, browsing, and soaking in that sense of abundance that autumn always brings, no matter the climate."

Coming in at No. 2 was Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park.

"Funky Buddha knows how to lean into the season with playful flair. As the evenings shorten, the space fills with chatter, clinking glasses, and a touch of festive energy," the survey authors wrote. "Their fall releases — spiced, malty and rich — turn an ordinary pint into something that feels seasonal. It’s less about the weather outside and more about the atmosphere inside, where autumn finds its own Florida style."

Finally, Floridians head to Foxtail Coffee Co. in Mount Dora.

"Foxtail’s Mount Dora café has that easy, neighborhood warmth that settles in even when the weather refuses to cool. The soft clink of cups, the hum of conversation and the glow of light through the windows make it feel like a pocket of autumn in the middle of Florida sunshine," the survey authors wrote. "A latte here becomes less about chasing the chill and more about creating the cozy rituals that define fall, palms swaying outside or not."

“As much as pumpkin spice and cider define fall, it’s really the journey that ties it all together,” said Joseph Gunther IV of Gunther Volkswagen. “Whether you’re pulling off at a favorite café or making a detour to a pumpkin patch, those stops become part of the drive itself. Fall isn’t just about where you end up - it’s about enjoying every mile along the way.”
