Former Pinellas School Board Members to be Honored

The proclamation on behalf of the current School Board members honors every individual who has held the office of School Board member.

In the final month of the Centennial Celebration for Pinellas County Schools, former members of the Pinellas County School Board have been invited to receive a proclamation and be honored during the June 12 Pinellas County School Board meeting.

According to the district, the presentation is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting agenda. Presentations from the audience begin at 10 a.m., and the School Board meeting begins at 10:30 a.m.

The proclamation on behalf of the current School Board members honors every individual who has held the office of School Board member. They will be honored for their commitment and sacrifice to the welfare of students and families served by Pinellas County Schools, a news release said.

Since September 2011, the Centennial Celebration has celebrated 100 years of excellence in education in Pinellas County. The school district was founded January 1, 1912.
