Gray-Haired Thief Swiped Forgotten Wallet, Police Allege
The suspect – wearing a blue T-shirt with a gator on the back – allegedly claimed a wallet that did not belong to him from the Pick Qwik in St. Petersburg.

Police are looking for the white-haired man shown in this YouTube video who allegedly picked up a wallet that did not belong to him at a convenience store in St. Petersburg.
The wallet contained several hundred dollars and credit cards, according to the victim.
The suspect then left the Pick Qwik, at 800 58th St. North. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a gator on the back, jeans and dark shoes. Does he look familiar?
According to police, the victim of the purloined wallet had forgotten his billfold after placing in to a candy box at the checkout counter, on Wednesday, July 3, 2013.
The victim left the store before realizing he had forgotten his wallet. The video shows the suspect approaching the counter to make a purchase.
The suspect was preparing to leave the store, when the person standing behind him at the checkout line pointed out the wallet on the candy box. He thought that it belonged to the suspect.
The suspect returns to the counter, claims the wallet as his, and then makes a swift exit.
By the time the victim has returned to the store for his wallet, the suspect is long gone. Now the police are asking the public for help.
According to the victim the wallet contained several hundred dollars in cash
along with various credit cards and identification.
The suspect is described as 55-65 years of age, 6'0", 210 lbs., with gray hair, mustache and prescription glasses.
