Man Charged With Sexual Abuse Of Child Under 12: St. Pete Police
A St. Petersburg man is accused of sexually abusing a young girl whose family he knows, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 65-year-old St. Petersburg man was accused of sexually abusing a child under 12 years old, authorities said.
Detectives began their investigation on Nov. 30, after a young girl told her parents that she was sexually abused by a man who knows their family, St. Petersburg police said in a news release.
Investigators determined the suspect was Lawrence Airdo of St. Petersburg, police said.

Airdo was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a child under the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation by an adult on a child under the age of 12.
