Man Sentenced in Shooting Death of Pregnant Girlfriend
The 24-year-old man claimed the shooting was an accident but offered differing accounts of what happened.

A 24-year-old St. Petersburg man who claimed the shooting death of his pregnant girl friend was an accident has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Larry Jay Reed was found guilty of manslaughter in May. He had been charged in the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Anastasia Boyd of St. Petersburg.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Reed had told differing accounts of how the shooting occurred but claimed it was accidental. He had told one investigator he had pointed the gun at her as a joke when it went off. He also had said the gun discharged as he unloaded it.
