Motorcyclist Falls From I-275 Overpass In Fatal Crash: Troopers
A motorcyclist in St. Petersburg hit the concrete wall on an interstate overpass so hard that it threw him to the ground below I-275.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A motorcyclist died Sunday evening when he fell to the ground off the Interstate 275 overpass near 54th Avenue South, Florida Highway Patrol said.
A 26-year-old driver of Pinellas Park sped his bike on the I-275 northbound entrance ramp from 54th Avenue South shortly after 6 p.m. when he crashed into the overpass' concrete barrier wall and then was thrown to the ground below the overpass, troopers said.
According to FHP, the driver died from injuries at a local hospital
