Museum, Galleries Team Up For Hurricane Recovery
Many Free Museum Day participants will double as food collection sites for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic's food bank.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – While people across the country will get some culture to celebrate Free Museum Day, several cultural organizations in St. Petersburg will use the day to help people who are still hurting after Hurricane Irma.
Several museums and galleries around St. Petersburg will serve as donation locations for canned or non-perishable food items to help with St. Petersburg Free Clinic’s Hurricane Irma recovery efforts during Free Museum Day on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The museums’ food drive coincides with Hunger Awareness Month. Also, Arts/Alive Free Museum Day is hosted in conjunction with the St. Petersburg Festival of the Arts.
