Farmers Market-Inspired Grocery Chain Sets Opening Date For New St. Pete Store
A national grocery chain known for fresh, organic produce and natural foods is opening a new store in St. Petersburg.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Sprouts Farmers Market, a national grocery chain known for selling fresh, natural and organic food, has set the opening date for a new store in St. Petersburg.
The specialty retailer’s store at 3411 32nd Place S. will start welcoming shoppers on Nov. 14. More details about the grand opening celebration will be available closer to the opening date.
The 23,000-square-foot grocery store is the anchor of Sky Town, a planned mixed-use development with 2,084 apartments in the Skyway Marina District, according to ACRE, a commercial real estate company.

Construction began on the project, slated to cost between $750 and $800 million, earlier this summer, Tampa Bay Newspapers reported.
In-person hiring events will take place at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park, 950 Lake Carillon Dr., on Sept. 30, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Oct. 1, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No interviews will be scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on both days.

Candidates may apply online in advance of the in-person events. Walk-in applicants are also welcome.
The brand offers shoppers a farmers market experience and an open layout featuring fresh produce at the center of the store, the news release said.
Its Florida stores features produce grown locally by family-run farms, including Alderman Farms, Always Fresh Farms, BBI Produce, Brooks Tropicals, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Grimes Produce Company, H&A Farms, J&C Tropicals, Jim Rash Inc. and Noble Citrus, according to the Sprouts website.
The company was named Progressive Grocer’s Retailer of the Year.
It also offers a range of organic, gluten-free, plant-based and non-GMO products.
Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Sprouts employs about 35,000 team members and operates more than 450 stores in 24 states nationwide.
