Popular Kid's Amusement Center Opens First Adult Arcade In FL
A popular children's amusement center opened 10 adult arcades across the U.S., including one in Florida.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Chuck E. Cheese has opened 10 adult arcade spinoffs across the U.S. — including one in the Tampa Bay area.
The new “Chuck’s Arcade is the spot where the Chuck E. Cheese vibe gets a fresh spin. It’s part of the family but all about solid gameplay with some old favorites and the newest games on deck,” according to the website. “If you remember chasing tickets for those little plastic prizes or digging the animatronic band back in the day, you’ll feel right at home here. It’s where the classics meet the new-school players.”
The retro-style arcade opened a location in St. Petersburg’s Tyrone Square last month in the former Fun Spot Arcade space in the mall, Fox 13 said.

"We chose this location because we feel like there's a really big audience of not just younger people, but older folks as well that really enjoy just the general liveliness of this area," Owen Stewart, a general store associate at the St. Pete location, told Fox 13.
He added, "There's a lot of people that really missed having an arcade in this kind of space.”
