Rays Launch 6-Game Homestead Against Marlins, Yankees Tuesday

The Tropicana has a sold-out Rays vs. Yankees Game on Saturday. Tickets are available for the other five days during the six-game homestead.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL —The Tampa Bay Rays start its six-game homestead against the Miami Marlins and New York Yankees Tuesday.

Rays will play the Marlins Tuesday and Wednesday; the Yankees Thursday through Sunday. The Saturday Yankees game has sold out, according to a Rays news release.

The other five games have seats available as of Tuesday.

During the six-game homestead, fans can enjoy different promotions, presentations and programs before and during games. Military members, veterans, teachers and first responders can take advantage of a free Rays v. Yankees game.

Tuesday, May 24 vs. Miami Marlins

  • First Pitch: 6:40 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 5:10 p.m.
  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Aubrey Wollett.
  • Tuesday’s Champion: Before every Tuesday home game, the Rays recognize a child from the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Children’s Dream Fund as a part of the “Tuesday’s Champion” program, presented by RIPA & Associates. The Rays will recognize 12-year-old Jace Driggers from the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a ceremonial first pitch.

Wednesday, May 25 vs. Miami Marlins

  • First Pitch: 6:40 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 5:10 p.m.
  • Rays Rookies Ticket Special: Members of the Rays Rookies Kids Club, presented by Hi-Chew, can receive 50 percent off tickets in the Lower Reserved and Rays Party Deck sections using the offer code sent to members via email. A maximum of six (6) tickets per account per date can be purchased.
  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Aja Frazier.
  • Mental Health Awareness: As part of the Rays Mental Health Awareness Month initiatives, the Rays Families will be packing gift bags for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s Gateway department in appreciation for their work in helping those in crisis and in need of support. The gift bags will be delivered to the Crisis Center’s office at a later date.

Thursday, May 26 vs. New York Yankees

  • First Pitch: 6:40 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 5:10 p.m.
  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Jacqueline Boehme.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Chief Financial Officer LaTasha Barnes.
  • 7th Inning Stretch: Will be performed by team members of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
  • Salute to Service: Active-duty and retired military members, as well as first responders and teachers, can receive 50 percent off Lower Box and Lower Reserved tickets. This offer expires the night before the game at midnight. Friday, May 27 vs. New York Yankees

  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Pitchforks from St. Petersburg High School.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Italian Club of Tampa.
  • Mental Health Awareness: The Rays Baseball Foundation will recognize their partnership with the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay by presenting them with a partnership grant of $15,000 plus $25,000 in proceeds from the Mental Health Awareness Month online auction, totaling $40,000.

Saturday, May 28 vs. New York Yankees (Sold Out)

  • First Pitch: 4:10 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 2:40 p.m.
  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Vanessa Dockery.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: University of South Florida Athletics Vice President and Athletic Director Michael Kelly.
  • Sold Out: Saturday’s game is sold out. It marks the club’s second sellout of the season, following a 2-1 win on Opening Day over the Baltimore Orioles.
  • Devil Rays Day: The Rays will wear their Nike white alternative throwback Devil Rays jerseys and navy blue New Era retro caps. This will be the first of five dates the Rays wear the throwback jerseys and caps.
  • Cereal for Summer Donation Drive: The Rays are teaming up with Feeding Tampa Bay to host a Cereal for Summer donation drive outside Gate 1 (Lot 7) and Gate 4. Accepted items include dry cereal, breakfast bars, granola and oatmeal. Fans who donate three (3) or more items will receive a ticket voucher valid for two (2) Lower Reserved tickets for a future 2022 regular-season home game. Sunday, May 29 vs. New York Yankees

  • First Pitch: 1:40 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 12:10 p.m.
  • Promotion: Sweatshirt Drawstring Bag presented by Morgan Automotive Group. Available to all fans 14 years and under while supplies last.
  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Amanda Breivogel.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: 11-year-old Grayson Coleman, an avid Rays fan and osteosarcoma survivor.
  • 7th Inning Stretch: Will be performed by a Salute to Veterans Day group.
  • For The Kids: Sundays are Family Fun Days. Every Sunday home game will feature family fun performers, including face painters and balloon artists. This season also marks the return of Kids Run the Bases following the conclusion of the game.
