Sexual Assault at Lealman School: 16-Year-Old Arrested
Breaking: A 16-year-old St. Petersburg boy is accused of sexually battering a 14-year-old girl at a Lealman school.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 16-year-old St. Petersburg boy faces sexual battery charges after an alleged attack on a girl at Lealman Innovation Academy last week.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, its deputies began an investigation into the incident last week. Detectives say around 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 7, the boy encountered the victim in the 4900 28th St. N. school’s hallway. He allegedly asked her to go into an unoccupied classroom, but she refused.
When the girl said no, the sheriff’s office said the boy pulled her into the classroom against her will and battered her.

The teen, who is not being identified by Patch, was charged with one count of sexual battery on Monday, Dec. 12.
