Man Stole $1,000-Winning Lottery Ticket From Lost Wallet In St. Pete: Reports
A St. Pete man faces charges after trying to cash in a stolen $1,000-winning lottery ticket he took from a lost wallet, reports said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg man was arrested for stealing a $1,000-winning lottery ticket from a lost wallet, according to multiple reports.
Video from a store on 22nd Street South showed Norman Isaac, 61, picking up someone else’s wallet, which held the winter lottery ticket, on Friday around 4:30 p.m., WTSP reported.
Staff at the store caught him trying to cash the ticket after realizing it was sold to the victim two days earlier, WFLA said. The clerk checked the camera and the ticket’s lot number.

Isaac was arrested on Friday around 5:30 p.m., IONTB.com said.
He was found with one gram of crack cocaine and three grams of powder cocaine in six bags, reports said.

He was charged with grand theft of more than $750 and less than $5,000 and possession of cocaine, Pinellas County Jail records show.
