St. Pete Man Dies After Being Hit By SUV While Crossing Road: FL Highway Patrol

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — A 43-year-old St. Petersburg man died after being hit by an SUV while crossing Ulmerton Road on Monday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

He was hit by a Toyota RAV4 that was heading south on U.S. 19 before exiting and turning left onto Ulmerton Road around 10:40 p.m.

The victim was brought to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries, FHP said.
