A Summer Of Free Events For Kids, Families At St. Pete Libraries
Mirror Lake Community Library will kick off its summer program, Oceans of Possibilities, Saturday on its front lawn.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A summer library program, Oceans of Possibilities, for kids, teenagers and adults kicks off Saturday at Mirror Lake Community Library in St. Petersburg.
Summer program packets, take-home arts and crafts and summer-reading challenges are among numerous activities to be offered through the library, a city of St. Petersburg news release said.
The summer theme, Oceans of Possibilities, will give Saturday's library visitors the opportunity to explore oceanography with the staff of Tampa Bay Watch, an organization that has education programs and outreach initiatives.

Additional guests at Mirror Lake's summer kick-off program will include a Healthy St. Pete, Keep Pinellas Beautiful, and Audubon Society of St. Petersburg.
According to the city of St. Pete's website, library visitors will get to learn about activities to stay healthy this summer, find out about clean-up events and hear about tips to keep Pinellas County waterways litter-free.

St. Petersburg Aquatics will give out water safety packets for kids to help keep them safe in and around water.
Mirror Lake Library is located at 280 Fifth St. N., St. Petersburg. The event will be on the library's front lawn, 10:30 a.m. - noon.
