There is no cost, and the coming months are a time to get in shape for great fun. All player positions are open for male and female players for the 2025-2026 season.

Players aged 74 and above can expect to open the Kids and Kubs IntraClub season on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, and run through March 27, 2026. The complete schedule of playing dates will be announced later this summer.

Individuals over the age of 60 may participate in the Summer sessions at no cost. Bring your shoes and glove (the Club has bats) and be ready to play.

Pickup games on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 AM will continue until late October. The coming months are the time to get in shape. For great fun and excellent exercise, information is available from the Club office at 727-893-7108; please leave your contact information so we can get back to you.

Pickup games occur at 901 North Shore Park Blvd. The home diamond for the team is across the street from the St Petersburg Aquatic Center, at 9th Avenue and North Shore Drive, NE. Prior softball experience is not required, although that is helpful.

Prospective new players are expected to run the bases (home plate to home plate) in 23 seconds, bat a ball to the 120-foot white line in 3 out of 5 swings (either in the air or on the ground), and throw and catch the ball from base to base (65 feet). A prospective player may have several tryouts until they meet the standards.

Male and Female players are welcome. Players over 60, though not eligible for Club membership, are encouraged to participate in the Summer Ball sessions.

Those interested in completing a Kids and Kubs membership application for the 2025-2026 season, don't hesitate to get in touch with Mike Vander Syde. Mike can be reached at 727-249-2496 and mvandersyde@msn.com.
