SUV Hits Bike On Pinellas Trail, Bicyclist Critically Injured: Police
St. Pete police investigated a crash involving a bicyclist and a Nissan Rouge Saturday.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 56-year-old St. Pete woman endured life-threatening injuries Saturday when an SUV hit her on the Pinellas Trail, a St. Pete police news release said.
The woman rode her bicycle in front of a gray 2010 Nissan Rouge at the intersection of 22nd Avenue North and Pinellas Trail just before 2 p.m., according to the police report.
Then the part of the Nissan's front fender on the passenger side hit the woman, authorities said.

An ambulance took the bicyclist to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she was last listed in critical condition by medical staff, police said.
The Nissan driver cooperated with police during the investigation, according to police.

*St. Pete police will not release the name of the victim until her next of kin is notified.
