Tampa Bay Lightning Fan Wins Bolts' 2021 Championship Ring: Report

Bolts Captain Dave Andreychuk gave a St. Pete Fire Rescue lieutenant a custom championship ring he won in a raffle he entered last season.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Pete Fire Rescue Lt. Garth Swingle thought someone pulled a prank when he heard he won a 2021 Tampa Bay Lightning championship ring, WFTS said.

“I didn't believe them at first,” Swingle he told the TV outlet. “I said, 'Who put you up to this?'”

A million people entered the raffle drawing for the ring last season, and they drew his name.

Swingle said it meant a lot to him when his idol, former Bolts Captain Dave Andreychuk, gave him the ring after several ring fittings.
