Tampa Woman Posed As Twin Sister When Pulled Over For DUI: Reports
A Tampa woman accused of DUI pretended to be her twin sister when pulled over by St. Petersburg police, reports said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Tampa woman accused of driving under the influence early Sunday morning in St. Petersburg pretended to be her twin sister after being pulled over, according to multiple reports.
Amelia Mulholland, 55, initially handed an officer her sister’s license when she was pulled over by St. Petersburg police at 22nd Avenue North and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North around 1:40 a.m., WFLA reported.
Her own license was suspended on Jan. 18, 2024, for a previous incident in which she refused to submit to testing, IONTB.com said.

Officers later confirmed Mulholland’s identity after they found her real ID inside her purse, reports said.
Police said that she showed signs of impairment, including the smell of alcohol, slurred speech and unsteady balance, reports said.

Mulholland performed field sobriety tests at the scene and breath tests measured her alcohol level at 0,058 and 0,059, according to reports.
She was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, providing a false name or identity to law enforcement, and possessing codeine, Pinellas County court records show.
