A waterspout formed in Tampa Bay between the Howard Frankland and Gandy bridges Wednesday afternoon, according to multiple media reports.
The water spout moved east to west but dissipated after a short time, never making it onto land, MyFoxTampaBay.com reports.
"The system that spawned the spout was moving over South Tampa and inland," according to Fox's report.
St. Petersburg's Brett Yonkee shared a photo of the waterspout she grabbed from her car, telling Patch that several drivers were stopping and getting pictures and video Wednesday.
