What’s Open, Closed On New Year’s Day 2025 In St. Petersburg

Here are some closures and schedule changes for St. Petersburg government offices, facilities and services for the new year.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — With St. Petersburg residents celebrating New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services over the holiday weekend.

St. Petersburg Government Offices: Closed Wednesday.

St. Petersburg Trash and Recycling Collection: Residential trash and recycling collection won’t be affected by the holiday.

Brush and Debris Drop-Off Sites: The following sites are closed Wednesday, reopening Thursday for normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:

  • 1000 62nd Ave. NE.
  • 7750 26th Ave. N.
  • 2500 26th Ave. S.
  • 4015 Dr. Martin Luther King St. S.
  • 2453 20th Ave. N.

Disaster Recovery Center at the Enoch Davis Center: Closed Tuesday and Wednesday, reopening Thursday.

St. Petersburg Libraries: All locations closed Tuesday at 4 p.m. and are closed all day Wednesday.

Pinellas County Schools: Schools closed through Jan. 3. Students return to the classroom on Jan. 6.

PSTA: Buses will operate on a holiday schedule, which is the same as Sunday, on Wednesday. The InfoLine and Customer Service Centers are closed Wednesday.
