• Citing Tamarac murders, legislator wants guns taken when accused domestic abusers get injunctions (nbcmiami.com) — A horrific February murder spree in Tamarac that left three people dead and traumatized a 4-year-old girl is driving a new push in Tallahassee to tighten gun rules for accused domestic abusers. State Rep. Robin Bartleman and local advocates want police required to seize firearms when injunctions are served, closing what they call a dangerous loophole exposed in the Tamarac case. 
• Broward County Animal Care Highlights Pearla and Frisky as Pets of the Week (tamaractalk.com) — Broward County Animal Care is featuring Pearla, a sweet American Bulldog mix, and Frisky, a senior cat with chronic sniffles, both available with waived adoption fees plus a $25 tag. Tamarac residents reading Tamarac Talk are encouraged to visit the Fort Lauderdale shelter, where all pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and can browse more adoptable animals online.
