6 People Shot Following Argument In Tarpon Springs

The shooting occurred during an argument. All six people survived their gunshot wounds.

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Tarpon Springs police are investigating the shooting of six people in Tarpon Springs Sunday night following an argument.

All six people, who knew one another, were taken to area hospitals where they survived their injuries.

The Tarpon Spring police received a call at 7:26 p.m. reporting multiple gunshots in the area of Safford Avenue and Boyer Street. Police spoke to witnesses that heard the gunshots, but no one could provide police with information.

Then, at 7:32 p.m., police were notified that people had arrived at AdventHealth North Pinellas with gunshot wounds.

The hospital said six people arrived in different vehicles and at different times, but they all received their gunshot wounds during the same argument.

Three people were transferred to Tampa General Hospital in stable condition.

The other three were treated at AdventHealth.

Police provided no other information on the shooting.
