Autistic Man Missing After Taking Out Trash

Tarpon Springs Police are asking for help finding a missing 32-year-old autistic man.

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — The Tarpon Springs Police Department is asking for help finding a missing 32-year-old man. Christopher Lee Jones went outside Wednesday night to take out the trash and hasn’t been seen since.

Police say Jones is autistic and does not have identification on him. He was last seen around 7 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 600 block of Haven Place. Police say they were notified of his disappearance around 8:25 a.m. Aug. 31. Jones is classified as a missing and endangered adult.

Jones was last seen wearing a white shirt. He may have on glasses and was possibly wearing tan shorts or light-colored sleep pans. He was wearing flip-flops when he left his home.

Anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 727-938-2849.
