Family Gathering Takes Violent Turn in Tarpon Springs

CB Miller, 45, of Tarpon Springs, was arrested after he was accused of stabbing a man multiple times at a family celebration on June 27.

Around 10 p.m. on Thursday, Tarpon Springs police officers arrested CB Miller on a felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

According to an arrest affidavit, Miller was at a family celebration when things got out of hand between him and another guest at the party.

Family members were trying to keep Miller from drinking any more alcohol when he got into a verbal argument with a female guest. The verbal argument turned physical before a man stepped in to break up the fight.

The man who stepped in was stabbed in the ear, buttocks, arm and shoulder.

Officers spoke with the victim before he was taken to the hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds from a six-inch straight razor. He, along with witnesses at the scene, accused Miller of being responsible for the stabbing.

When police arrested Miller, they found a metal fork in his back pocket. He told officers that he was only defending himself and "never cut the victim."

Miller's bond is set at $20,000 and he is currently awaiting trial at the Pinellas County Jail.

Tarpon Springs PD did not reveal the victim's name to protect his identity.
